Indeed Definitively down to the marrow! Bravo Dr. Anderson

Photo

As-Salāmu `Alaykum ... Wake our people up. Knowledge is power and thank you Dr. Claud Anderson. Define racism indeed you broke it Definitively down to the marrow. In order to determine whether a Black person can be racist, we must first define racism.

According to Dr. Claud Anderson, "racism exists only when one group holds a disproportionate share of wealth and power over another group then uses those resources to marginalize, exploit, exclude and subordinate the weaker group."

Black people do not hold "a disproportionate share of wealth and power over another group." Nor do Black people[in America] posess the ability to "marginalize, exploit, exclude and subordinate" another group.

"Therefore a Black person can not be racist." Bravo!

Ron Carter Quartet at the Blue Note live!

Lepadah

Returning from Blue Note I need to write!!!

Photo

After a few days of snow wonderland snapshot of your area I ventured aboard the train to the Village to hear the sultry intoxicating sound from Ron Carter Quartet @ the Blue Note. Awe easing into my seat front table near the stage of course that's where I always sit so as not to miss one note playing a pure sound of loveliness that one is beguiled  by luscious inflection . Such fidelity, embracing her (Bass) mahogany to spin the fullness of hips that consumed his body leaning into notes so sweet you almost wish the instrument could be ... Hmmm a splendid thought shared by couples or I who sat bound by the jazz magic which has set fire to my feet to fulfill a musical hunger as per this night and several others just like this. Jotting a few mental or liner notes I wished to return to my abode and rummage thru my father's albums reviewing the liner notes on such classic jazz albums like Creed Taylor presents "Know Your Jazz" , "live" at the half-note the Art Farmer Quartet featuring Jim Hall ... Wow these goodies that outline every nuance is poetic Jazz . Yes serious musical dope for the head... Ok I 'm satisfied and bid all adieu .peace

Searching for Black Russian's ...the mark of an intriguing story.

Dear Lydia!

I`m so very sorry to hear that Mr. Patterson is ill. God bless him!

Lydia thanks so much for helping us. We really want to make this program special. I think Mr. Patterson will be glad to know that so many people remember him and wants to hear from him. How do you think is there any chance to ask Mr. Patterson to join  our program via the TV Link up that we will organize in Washington special for him so that he could talk with the studio while the program will be shooting.

Is there any chance you may help us to get in contact with Tom Patterson?

Also I would like to know is there any chance that you or someone from your family will be ready to come to Moscow to tell the story of Mr. Patterson`s life?

Of course we well cover all the travel costs.

A Profound and Simple Goodbye.

Image

As-Salāmu `Alaykum .  I spent the afternoon service@Sinai Chapel with my friend Matt who's  dear mother Sylvia Lila Friedman made her transition. Myself, Joe Quinn a quintessential Irish man , Ron my Kramer est neighbor smiling at the fact JQ had in his side pocket a small bottle of Jim Bean bourbon a definite comedy reminisce a Seinfeld episode. Sitting inside listening to the  Rabbi reading of the 23rd Psalm a calmness embrace me. Before me sat members of The Jewish War Veteran's of America who offered there support to the Friedman family I especially enjoyed listening to the Rabbi on the meaning of a woman, mother and her name. The meaning of ones name how significant. Their soft tears and heartache from her husband of 67 years to his beloved Lila and the shared heartfelt story from their son Matthew was simply beautiful his fond loving admiration for his mother was a moment for me to reflect on my own mother and realize being patient and practical with a selfless love for the one who gave life and endured through trial, tribulation of rearing children such as ... At the Interment @ Mt. Hebron Cemetery a simplicity  of death amongst the Jewish people. A simple pine box as we all return to dirt and the dead know none of elaborate carved coffins, silk lining it is what I wish a simple departure from an ugly ,selfish world full of hatred now one can finally rest .  The chilled air licked at the tips of noses, ears during The Mourner's Kaddish . We departed returning to the cars to observe Shiva at the Friedman residence with my friends and family. I gave him words from the Prophet to comfort during his time of bereavement .
“When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.” Khalil Gibran      Peace out
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green [1] pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest [2] my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
