Beginning anew,thankful & reflecting.

Happy 95th to Dr. Ben!

Photo

As-Salāmu `Alaykum good people.  Anew beginning people is upon us. I wish for us to be mindful of all those who are not present making their transition to a restful place. So much sadness, unnecessary hate, we are living in the killing fields unable to detach ourselves from racism, violence, greed. Our Holy books reveal days of tribulation times difficult to deal with, famine through out the land, turmoil between parent and child, financially bankrupt with no clear future only a civilization that is destine to fall with our proclaim power we are powerless against the Supreme Being and the elements of nature. Prophets, Rabbis, Minister offer little comfort at moments when truth is hard to hide are mask over. My shades have been removed and I refuse to see another picture. Remember the joy, anguish of heavy hearts and forgiving souls. Remembering the great ones . . . and the lost. a special prayer out to the one who know me best that unlock my chest, viewed sin and capture alight. I would like to wish a an early HAPPY BORN DAY to warrior, noted historian, writer and Legendary Afrocentric scholar, who will be celebrating life at the fine age of 95 this New Year Eve. A marvelous King amongst us to still feathering knowledge to the mass thank you in name of the Beneficent for gracious mercy allowing this warrior presence. Peace onto Brother Sharpton, Sadig, Mandela, President Barack Obama … the list is endless. Peace and be bless . Universal Love to all. Special thanks to The Amsterdam News for disseminating necessary information to the Village . Congratulation to my beautiful daughter Yasmine and Kylan on their soon be jumping the broom... Prayer for Peace for all ...

Photo

As-Salāmu `Alaykum good people.  Blessing out to the universe, peace and tolerance. Rev. Al Sharpton is shedding light this morning on 107.5 fm.  During this chaotic season of Holiday celebration and tragedies one can not ignore those who are still suffering from Sandy, Sandy Hook, Fiscal Cliff quagmire and parables of life which must acknowledge .  Baby it's cold outside and my thoughts and prayer goes out to Far Rock etc who are still unsettle and displaced. As we all know the status of the historical Lenox Lounge which I've for the past few weekends attending terrific jazz sets staying to the wee hour and the last jam and yes this is it . I must say the Lenox is still jamming until the perspective date so I want to encourage all to go listen to some super beautiful LIVE music in The Village of HARLEM!  Special prayer out to a really beautiful brother those who kniw of what I speak let me say ...Allahuma rabbi-nas adhhabal ba'sa, ashfi wa entashafi, la shifa' illa shifa'uka shifa' la yughadiru saqama. To my Teacher, man of conviction and my confidant friend for life all this blessing for his sustainability Insha'Allah . Peace one love to all.

Revolution and Aftermath... Hey Playthell thought you drop the piece...

Photo

This Revolution is being televised… just not here.  The turmoil in Egypt is not so unfamiliar proven to be a land destined  as a hot bed of discontent and dictatorship from the beginning of time and the the energy of a spiritual war  fuel  passion of believers beyond intellectualize commentary which is voided once the masses turn land into a field of blood.  There are questions of the return of Pharaohs to Egypt. Revolution will have to bare bloodshed is always violent. Religion and Politic have never in all of history been bedfellows and the partnership prove cataclysm.  I was reading an article in todays New York Times   "Revolution and Aftermath" highlights an succession leading up to the Revolution now present in Egypt with reference to Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood.  Their passion knowing death is sure to follow leaves no room for why the burning of the American flag is a shown resentment towards … hey Brother B you have one completely immersed in politics, Ancient Civilization, historical truths and political facts… keep us informed with your commentaries on the Times. Good morning good people spread your love ...

As-Salāmu `Alaykum good people.  Blessing out to the universe, peace and tolerance.  Disturbing reports of racism in giving during the Sandy relief efforts in our area. Sister Maulene and I are hearing as late several volunteers with food, clothes and other needs went out to certain areas if Far Rockaway were told their help and donation was not necessary.  After an emotional election and massive suffering these particular group of individuals still harbor racism by refusing help from Others. I can only hope these fools if harden hearts, ignorance will discover the light of humanity.  Position in a twist on the couch listening to Al Sharpton  Hour of Power reading my favorite news periodical Amsterdam News after re reading the brilliant autobiography "Nigger" by  Dick Gregory . I advise all to read this intensely emotional book and feel each word discovering new tears of pain and joy.  A short re-read but great!!! So flip on the Meet the Press and check out Brother Al Sharpton ...  Peace and love. .. Must finish Ellison's "Three Days Before The Shooting...

On Amiri Baracka: Thought Policeman | Commentaries on the Times

Dear Brother B you need not bother with the banter but set the record straight I can relate with the words of light as we know in the case of Romney.  One should listen closely to each read that is read fine
manner in which delivered thrills the mind constantly requiring more to satisfy this word nymph.
So shower them with flowers at the feet of modern day  gladiators of polemic, prose, commentary and essays. A witness to new public forum of a jester and the verbal rap ability of word kings. Far gone days of Caligula  its whirling weaponry and head choppers… but I would be whipped and called a wench if not make mention these intelligent men of various big eyes which orgies are thus a warrant thirst for such frivolity. One who acquired a distinct taste for unique love… Thus be that of a gladiator words men  who hold world court on social media for onlookers who relish and a lover of Medieval debates spun such 13th century read of "The Owl and the Nightingale"  well tendered with some gentle swipes delved those jesters or poets even handed comments of Your acute written ability to tell the truth as recorded and not as one might wish to see in thine own eyes. First we who know the rule of thumb in such a battle "to thine own self be true." Thus reap the shame of many men who fallen at their very own feet with by a lie or mad fabrication.  In closing this nymph will tie up my wings in conclude with the following ....

Captain of our fairy band,
Helena is here at hand,
And the youth, mistook by me,
Pleading for a lover's fee.
Shall we their fond pageant see?
Lord, what fools these mortals be!           Be peace brother man ... Lepadah

A Brilliant writer with no limits... Excellent read.

interpretative aspects which is undefinable." - Lepadah

As stated President Barack Obama is a true politician without question his political prowess proves to be an exquisite leader beyond those who raise political hullabaloo hold contempt for such a genius mind unable to stand intelligently they would rather defy and continue their in-corrigible behavior. There is rumor about the Presidential cabinet during this fiscal crisis which stems from past misappropriation of finance, greed and blatant thievery. So now a true leader as those before him will continue to lead and replace those who shiver in fear at their own inadequacies and deficits. As noted during Monroe's Presidency he faced an economic crisis known as the Panic of 1819. It was noted as the first major depression to hit the country since the 1700s. During this period which stemmed from declining imports and exports, and sagging agricultural prices. A number of state banks suspended payment on their notes and declared bankruptcy, with the Second Bank of the United States shifting to more conservative policies. The result was high unemployment and an increase in bankruptcies and foreclosures. The paradox is that an intelligent leader will make adjustments, those who choose to jump ship…. jump! So President Barack Obama continue with Chicago finesse to forge ahead without the weight of cowards and fence straddlers who are insignificant to this Political dilemma. Ardent along side Susan Rice. "Go after me over Benghazi." Thanks once again PB for calling this exactly what it is… drivel

Sunday Dinner

Photo

Today was spent helping others get through difficult times in Far Rockaway at The Hammel Houses Serving Sunday dinner to residents who were pass over by FEMA and Red Cross trucks a few days ago. Where were the news reporters to highlight their story. Isolated from the rest of the world displaced by mother nature and political biases this Sunday dinner on a glorious sunny afternoon brought forth smiles, heartfelt appreciation and extreme gratitude. The church down the street completely destroyed by water the rugs, furnishing sat on the street as I walked with Lucy to the beach sand was swept onto streets and sidewalks sand dunes along the way, twisted metal and boardwalk debris. Thankful knowing I had a warm place and lights. The residents lined up and a future young politician we called him as this young boy about nine a pearl smile and said to me "you know it's been hard on us out here do sad but thank you ma'am we so glad you came thank you all we are so happy.  Helping us move some water and smiling.  What charisma this handsome young man is the future President we laugh handing him an extra plate and a slice of red velvet cake/vanilla cupcake he requested so nicely. Walking he look at me and  thank you do much for coming. Yes here was the forgotten some finding their loved ones on this day who they have not seen since Sandy hit the shore. As the sun began to sit and the chill creeped into fabrics of  residents who gathered the last remainder of food, drinks returning to their dark apartment still with no electricity and heat as the police lights blinked and we packed up our cars leaving them in the dark wondering about next time. They need food, clothing and sustainability to reconstruct lives again.  Waiting on lines waiting for a rescue.  Peace and blessing out to appreciative Far Rock...  We'll be back you my people are not forgotten.

Reflection...

Photo

President Barack Obama is back in the White House after a vicious campaign of blatant lies, insults, racial epithets and political flame throwing from Tea Party/ Republican crazed evangelicals and other simpletons as previously stated . Now to the task at hand a angels wedding, writing, reconstruction of all our lives here along the eastern seaboard. The disaster left behind by mother nature is a testimony to our mortality. A sitting is necessary at the A Baptist Church this Sunday to appreciate, reflect, and offering our congratulations to our President for as stated in my previous blog his meticulous maneuvering through the imbrogolio which presented a task by all means and President Obama holding true to his posture unrelenting steadfast with solid conviction. Yes there is a lot for us all to do to make our existing here more beneficial purpose for being decent to our fellow man/woman. Constantly in search of myself as that of Siddhartha. A resident feeler to higher elements in this life. A citizen of the world. To cross into a republic for which stand is TRUTH. We are rather comfortable with lies, deception and the only way is to purge oneself of all transgression and allow the super natural to hold one to the iron grid in order to sustain and become born again. This action might leave one with little or no friends but in this life time only one might stand beside. A war with thy self is yet the most firm with which to fight. Discharging my succubus. I stand before this test a miserable reflection of past deeds. I am certain to slip along the path but will eventually continue before ones death and let the record play at the end so my spirit might dance….
