From Detroit with Thoughts of You

Michigan night
stays light after dark
twist off the Fish Eye
springing air with a fizz

when things fall apart
they unravel at both ends
just like childhood ribbons
still boxed
fringed like emotions

when things falls apart
they become apparent
harder to hide

was I
could I be
no you are still so very new to me
I to you
bemuse
master mind to thought

I manifest
confess being ambushed
though I protest
I'm taking a whipping
whipped
whopped

soft voice during sleep
a tattered heart exposed on sheets
pressing limbic system
quit resisting

would you allow love
kiss love
be love
make love
or canyon along

beast of burden need not be
did you revisit my dream sinsemilla
disseminate messages offered
listened to Arias by Donizetti

thus you already know
pray tell the answer
